Madonna has publicly backed her new friend Cole Palmer and his latest business venture, a premium ice range called Cole'd, as the UK experiences its third official heatwave of the summer. The Queen of Pop took to Instagram Stories to showcase the product, posting a photo of herself in a lace bodysuit holding a box of Cole'd above her head with the caption, "When it gets too Hot," tagging the Chelsea midfielder.
Partnership with Gopuff and Product Details
Palmer, 24, launched Cole'd in partnership with grocery delivery platform Gopuff. The range includes chewable "pebble ice" infused with electrolytes, as well as large football-shaped ice spheres. The products are available across the UK and US, with a subtle nod to Palmer's nickname, Cold Palmer.
A spokesperson for Cole'd by Cole Palmer in partnership with Gopuff stated: "Following last week's heatwave, we've seen the range sell out and go viral across social media, with fans making Cole'd part of their summer plans." They added that as England strives to win the World Cup, they anticipate "busy evenings" with fans stocking up for viewing parties.
Madonna's Connection with Palmer
This is not the first time Madonna has teamed up with Palmer. He appeared in her Confessions II film, which provided insight into her album of the same title. In the film, Palmer featured alongside Honey Dijon, Joao Pedro, Richard E. Grant, and Shygirl in a scene replicating the Danceteria nightclub, the iconic New York venue that helped launch Madonna's early career.
Palmer's World Cup Absence and Response
Palmer missed out on representing England at the 2026 World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico. In a recent interview with the Times, he expressed his disappointment but emphasized his determination to prove his worth. "Every player that plays football wants to be at the World Cup, but it’s a decision that I cannot change and a hard one, for whatever reason. But I’m just trying to enjoy the summer off — the first summer I’ve ever had off," he said.
He added: "Yeah, of course it’s nice [fans suggesting Palmer should have been included], but I’m not there. I know what I could have offered, you know - something different to what the manager has picked. But like I said before, I can’t change the decision and I wish everyone all the best."
Impact and Sales Success
Despite his absence from the World Cup, Palmer's ice range has become a hit, selling out after the recent heatwave. The product has gone viral on social media, with fans incorporating Cole'd into their summer activities. As England continues its World Cup campaign, the brand expects increased demand for viewing parties.
