Thiago Silva, the former Chelsea defender, has expressed his pride after his eldest son, Isago Silva, signed his first professional contract with the Blues. The 17-year-old academy player announced the news on Instagram, stating: 'Proud to sign my first pro deal with Chelsea. Hungry for more.'
Chelsea's official social media account confirmed the deal, writing: 'We are delighted to announce that Chelsea Academy defender Isago Silva has signed his first professional contract with the club. Congratulations, Isago.' Thiago, now playing for Fluminense in Brazil, reshared the post with heart, prayer and teary-eyed emojis, while his wife Belle added a congratulatory comment with a blue heart and goat emojis.
Isago has already made an impression, earning a call-up to the England under-15s and being named in Chelsea's Champions League squad for the match against Ajax in October. Thiago, who made 155 appearances for Chelsea between 2020 and 2024, remains with Fluminense until June 2026, but his family continues to live in London to support their 'mission' at the club.
