Swansea City winger Ronald is attracting growing interest ahead of the closing stages of the summer transfer window, with newly-promoted Premier League side Coventry City emerging as the latest club to be linked with a move.
According to journalist João Van Boysen, Coventry have joined Brazilian giants Corinthians and clubs from Saudi Arabia in monitoring the 25-year-old attacker.
At this stage, there is no suggestion that Swansea have received a formal offer for Ronald, nor are any of the interested clubs believed to have advanced negotiations.
Interest from Multiple Sides
Coventry's reported interest is perhaps the most eye-catching given Frank Lampard's side secured promotion to the Premier League last season. Corinthians, meanwhile, have previously been linked with Ronald, having been credited with interest in the winger last year before a move failed to materialise. Saudi Arabian clubs are also believed to be keeping a close eye on the Swansea man.
Ronald's 2025/26 Campaign
Ronald enjoyed a productive 2025/26 campaign for the Swans, making 49 appearances in all competitions while contributing five goals and five assists. The winger has also remained a regular part of Vítor Matos' plans during pre-season, featuring in all three of Swansea's friendlies so far this summer.
Contract and Transfer Position
Swansea are understood to be in a relatively strong negotiating position. Ronald is under contract at the Swansea.com Stadium until the summer of 2027, meaning the club are under no immediate pressure to sell. He joined Swansea from Brazilian side Grêmio Anápolis in January 2024 for around £1.3 million.
Ronald's Take on His Future
“I’m very happy here at Swansea," Ronald told AS when quizzed on his future back in May. "It’s a club that has always believed in me, where I feel at home and can develop every season."
"As for the future, I leave it in God’s hands and in the hands of my agents. They haven’t told me anything yet, so I’m still completely focused on my work and the club."
