The son of former England footballer Stuart Pearce has died in a tractor crash in the Cotswolds. Harley Pearce, 21, was killed on the A417 at Old Birdlip Hill in Witcombe, near Gloucester, on 16 October.
Gloucestershire Police confirmed that Harley, who lived in Marlborough, Wiltshire, died at the scene. He was the younger of Stuart Pearce's two children.
In a statement issued by police, his family said: 'Our family is truly shocked and utterly heartbroken at the loss of our cherished son and devoted brother, Harley. A soul who left an unforgettable imprint on all who knew him. He was a golden boy with an infectious smile, and this shocking tragedy will leave a huge hole in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.'
Tributes have been paid by Pearce's former clubs. Nottingham Forest wrote on X: 'We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Harley Pearce. The thoughts of everyone connected with Nottingham Forest are with Stuart and his family at this truly difficult time.' West Ham United and Manchester City also expressed their condolences.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the collision to come forward. The family has asked for privacy during this time.
