The Premier League transfer window closed on Tuesday alongside most of western Europe, but clubs in seven other countries can still sign players from English sides.
Deadline day in England saw Enzo Fernandez become the first player transferred twice for over £100m, joining Manchester City from Chelsea for a club-record £125m fee. The windows in Spain, Italy, France and Germany also shut, with several Premier League players moving to the continent: Gabriel Jesus joined Barcelona for £8.6m, Marc Guiu moved from Chelsea to RB Leipzig for £14.6m, Harvey Elliott joined Valencia on loan from Liverpool for the season, and Nick Woltemade swapped Newcastle for Juventus on loan.
Saudi Arabia and Turkey still active
The Saudi Pro League remains open, with Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli set to join Al-Hilal after flying in for a medical to complete a £55.7m switch ahead of Saudi's late window closing on October 12.
Turkey's Super Lig can make signings until Friday, September 4, having already welcomed Mohamed Salah, Rafael Leao and Leandro Trossard this summer. It has become an attractive destination for fringe and older players seeking a big payday without leaving Europe.
Portugal and Belgium extend deadlines
Portuguese top-flight clubs can continue club-to-club transfers until September 15, meaning Porto, Benfica and Sporting CP can still sign. Belgian clubs can make signings until 11pm BST tonight, with their window closing on Thursday, September 3.
Brazil, Mexico and Switzerland
Brazil's deadline is September 11, though Palmeiras distanced themselves from Jadon Sancho links, calling the speculation that they wanted to sign the free agent 'madness'. Mexico closes its window the same day; 17-year-old World Cup hero Gilberto Mora has yet to agree a move to Europe, which was not possible this summer because he is under 18, but he could move in January when he is old enough.
Switzerland's Super League window stays open until September 8, allowing Young Boys, Basel and defending first-time champions Thun to make last-ditch signings.
