Salah intends to join Jurgen Klopp's squad for a light recovery session on Tuesday, putting him in contention for Thursday's Premier League clash against Leicester City at Anfield. However, his involvement is not guaranteed as Liverpool assess his recent workload and heavy travel schedule.
His availability provides a further boost for Klopp, with Liverpool still competing on four fronts. Sadio Mané, who scored the winning penalty for Senegal, may not return until Wednesday after taking part in a homecoming parade in Dakar.
Liverpool coped well in the absence of both players, winning two Premier League games, reaching the Carabao Cup final, and advancing in the FA Cup. The club also added Colombia international Luis Díaz to their attack while the pair were away, and welcomed Harvey Elliott back from a serious ankle injury.
