Allan Saint-Maximin Exits Club America After Family Suffers Racist Abuse
Saint-Maximin Leaves Club After Children Racially Abused

Former Newcastle United star Allan Saint-Maximin has departed Mexican football club Club America by mutual agreement, following distressing revelations that his children were subjected to racist abuse. The 28-year-old French winger made the emotional decision after publicly sharing the ordeal his family endured.

Social Media Revelation of Racist Targeting

Earlier this week, Saint-Maximin took to Instagram to disclose that his family had been targeted by racist attacks. The footballer, who has also played for Al-Ahli and Fenerbahce since leaving St James' Park in 2023, posted a powerful message condemning the abuse.

"The problem is not the colour of your skin, it's the colour of your thoughts," Saint-Maximin wrote. "I'm being attacked, not a problem - I grew up, I learned to fight against attacks... but there's one thing I will never tolerate is my kids being picked on."

Father's Vow to Protect His Children

The footballer emphasised that protecting his children was his absolute priority, stating he would fight to ensure they are respected and loved regardless of their background or skin colour. He delivered a firm message to those responsible for the abuse.

"Protecting my children is my priority and I will fight to make sure they are respected and loved, regardless of their background or colour of their skin. Hate and discrimination has no place in our society," Saint-Maximin declared. "So to those who dared to mess with my kids, I'm telling you: you made a mistake. I will always fight to protect mine, and there is no person or threat that will scare me."

Club America's Response and Solidarity

In announcing Saint-Maximin's departure, Club America expressed strong solidarity with the player and his family while condemning discrimination in unequivocal terms.

"We reiterate our strong condemnation of any act of discrimination and/or violence that violates human dignity, both on and off the field," the club stated. "We express our absolute solidarity with Allan Saint-Maximin and his family, who have the support of everyone who is part of this institution. Thank you so much for wearing our colours Allan Saint-Maximin."

Coach's Regret at Losing Talented Player

Club America coach Andre Jardine expressed disappointment at losing a player of Saint-Maximin's considerable ability, describing the situation as a "real shame."

"Regarding Maximin, he's a fantastic player, he has the ability to play in any league in the world," Jardine commented. "We wish him all the best."

The departure marks another significant career move for Saint-Maximin, whose professional journey has taken him from Newcastle United to Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and now Mexico before this abrupt exit following the racist incidents targeting his family.
