Manchester United legend Bryan Robson has warned Marcus Rashford that his mindset must change if he hopes to secure his future at Old Trafford. The 27-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Barcelona, where he has revived his form with five goals and seven assists in 13 appearances.
Despite his resurgence under Hansi Flick, Rashford's long-term future remains uncertain. Barcelona have a £28 million purchase option, but may not trigger it due to competition from Raphinha and Lamine Yamal. If he returns to United, there is no guarantee he would start under Ruben Amorim.
Robson told Grosvenor Casinos: 'Marcus lost his focus. I do think his attitude's got to change if he does come back to United. Barcelona is different because they and Real Madrid dominate their league. Playing with top players will help him, but I can't believe people say he enjoys football more away from United.'
Paul Scholes echoed the criticism, saying on The Good, The Bad and The Football: 'His attitude towards Man United towards the end was disgraceful. I think he quit on Man Utd. When you quit once, you'll quit again.' Scholes also noted Rashford was recently late for Barcelona training, questioning his mentality.
