Manchester United are reportedly growing frustrated with the slow progress of Marcus Rashford's potential permanent move to Barcelona. The England international has been on loan at the La Liga club this season, with an option to make the deal permanent for £26 million. However, time is running out for Barcelona to activate the clause.
According to Spanish publication Sport, United are 'angry' that an agreement has not yet been reached, and a permanent transfer now appears increasingly unlikely. Barcelona initially explored a second loan deal, but no agreement was reached, leading the club to secure a £69 million move for Newcastle's Anthony Gordon, who plays in a similar position to Rashford.
Rashford, 28, has scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists during his loan spell at Barcelona. He has previously expressed a desire to stay at the Camp Nou permanently, but Barcelona no longer consider him a priority for this window. The club are also reportedly interested in signing Bernardo Silva, who will leave Manchester City as a free agent after the World Cup.
As a result, Manchester United are now reassessing their position and are said to be willing to negotiate with Barcelona over a potential deal. Rashford's future remains uncertain, with the possibility of a return to Old Trafford still on the cards.
