Rangers moved to the top of the Premiership table for the first time since April with a clinical first-half display that saw off Kilmarnock 3-1 at Ibrox.
Two goals from Ryan Naderi either side of Kevin Kelsy's second strike for the club ensured the hosts carried on from where they left off with their double derby triumph before the three-week international break. Derek McInnes' side claimed top spot ahead of Celtic's trip to Fir Park.
Kilmarnock will rue a string of wasted chances to apply pressure on Rangers before Nicky Clescenco's breakaway effort in the final minute proved a mere consolation. The second-half showing frustrated McInnes as his side failed to build on their lead.
Goalkeeper and Defenders
Ivor Pandur – 7: McInnes has said he loves the big Croatian, and his heart will have grown fonder after Pandur brilliantly pawed away Aaron Tshibola's curling effort. The goalkeeper would have been busier were it not for some awful Killie finishing.
Dujon Sterling – 6: Shook off a minor hamstring injury to start but wasn't quite at 100 percent due to tonsillitis. Followed up his derby performances with another solid 45-minute showing before making way at the break.
Manny Fernandez – 6: A couple of loose moments early on. Steadied himself but never truly looked comfortable with John-Jules happy to go toe-to-toe in a physical battle.
Olwethu Makhanya – 6: Not as polished as the displays that earned the South African September's player of the month prize. The odd slack pass but otherwise a comfortable afternoon.
James Penrice – 7: Wasn't done any favours by Gassama's undershot pass in the build-up to the opener but did brilliantly to whip in a perfect cross that Naderi only had to glance home.
Midfield and Attack
Minsu Kim – 7: The new South Korea cap continues to produce flashes of the quality that convinced Gers to splash out £8.5million for the playmaker, though he is still searching for a moment to really announce himself.
Dan Neil – 7: Couldn't come up with one of the slick finishes he registered last time out at home, but for an hour this was a performance as cool and composed as his man-of-the-match Celtic display. He controlled the pace of Rangers' play, though dropped off latterly as Killie were allowed to threaten.
Nico Raskin – 6: The Belgian international seems to have grasped that less is more in midfield, no longer charging about looking to do too many jobs at once. But guilty along with a few others of coasting in the second half.
Djeidi Gassama – 7: Direct and dangerous running on the ball but often too quick for his own good with the final ball or shot. Denied a goal by MJ Kamara's goal-line block, got an assist when Naderi diverted his cross-cum-shot in for No3, but wasted a string of chances after the break.
Ryan Naderi – 8: A dream couple of weeks for the new Czech Republic frontman. Put Rangers ahead with a glancing header, didn't know much about the second as Gassama's shot broke off his shoulder, and it's now nine goals and assists in the last eight games. Quickly becoming McInnes' most dependable attacker.
Kevin Kelsy – 7: Fresh from bagging his first Venezuelan goal, he grabbed his second for Gers. Slipped as he tried to chest the ball down for Naderi but decided to do it himself, chopping past a couple of defenders before firing a deflected effort past Calum Ferrie. Still needs to brush up on his ball control but is another imposing physical presence.
Substitutes
Kosta Nedeljkovic (on for Sterling, 46) – 4: Picked up a booking after clattering Greg Kiltie. Left alone at the back as Killie broke away at the death to score through Clescenco. Got a ticking off from his gaffer for not passing forward enough.
Findlay Curtis (on for Kelsy, 73) – 3: Flashed wide with a hopeful effort from the edge of the box before slamming a free-kick into the wall.
Badredine Bouanani (on for Gassama, 88) – 1: On at the death.
Bojan Miovski (on for Kim, 88) – 1: Not enough time to make an impression.
Tochi Chukwuani (on for Neil, 88) – 1: A token run out for the Dane.
