Premier League manager salaries: Arteta's new Arsenal deal ranks top

Mikel Arteta's bumper new Arsenal contract reportedly includes a significant wage increase, putting him among the Premier League's highest-earning bosses. He has been rewarded with a new deal until 2030 after leading the Gunners to their first domestic title in two decades last season. Arteta also took the north Londoners into the Champions League final, where they were beaten on penalties by Paris Saint-Germain.

Reported salaries for the 2026/27 season

He is not alone in earning an incredible salary, with many Premier League bosses commanding some of the highest wages in their field globally. Express Sport ranks the reported salary of every Premier League manager for the 2026/27 season.

Gary O'Neil (Ipswich Town) is reported to be earning around £2m per year, having taken charge of the Tractor Boys following Kieran McKenna's summer departure. Survival will be the aim at Portman Road this season.

Managers on £2m to £2.6m

Daniel Farke (Leeds United) is also thought to be taking home around £2m per year under the terms of his current contract. After overseeing a flying start to the campaign at Elland Road, he might be angling for a pay rise sooner rather than later.

Having led Sunderland into the Europa League as a newly-promoted side last season, Regis Le Bris (Sunderland) could also be forgiven for wanting more than his current annual salary of around £2m.

Fabian Hurzeler (Brighton) is believed to be earning roughly £2.5m per year at the Amex Stadium. He is regarded as one of the Premier League's finest young coaches and was reportedly admired by Tottenham before they appointed Roberto De Zerbi.

Alvaro Arbeloa (Fulham) was appointed to replace the outgoing Marco Silva in the summer, having cut his teeth in management at Real Madrid. He is said to be taking home around £2.6m per year at Craven Cottage.
