Paul Pogba to Return Next March After Juventus Contract Termination

Paul Pogba has mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Juventus, the France international announced on Friday. The 31-year-old midfielder's deal with the Serie A club was due to run until 2026, but he will become a free agent at the end of this month.

Pogba was handed a four-year doping ban in March after testing positive for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) last month reduced the suspension to 18 months, ruling that his ingestion of the banned substance was not intentional and resulted from a supplement prescribed by a doctor in Florida.

The former Manchester United star can resume playing next March. He has been linked with a move to Inter Miami but did not reveal his next destination in his statement.

“My time at Juventus has come to an end,” Pogba said. “It has been a privilege to pull on the shirt of the bianconeri and to share so many special moments together. I cherish the memories we made. They live on.”

Juventus confirmed the termination in a statement, saying: “Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have reached a mutual agreement for the termination of their contract as of 30 November 2024. The club wishes Paul the very best for his professional future.”
