Norwich City have confirmed the death of a supporter following their FA Cup victory over Walsall at Carrow Road on Sunday. Ambulance services were called to the stadium after the incident late in the match.
The club issued a statement expressing their sadness: 'We are saddened to announce the passing of a home supporter at the conclusion of this afternoon's FA Cup fixture. Everyone at Norwich City would like to send their heartfelt condolences to the supporter's family and friends.'
Walsall also paid tribute, saying they were 'absolutely devastated' and that the thoughts of everyone at the club were with the individual's family and friends at this difficult time.
Norwich won the match 5-1, with goals from Matej Jurasek, a hat-trick from Jovon Makama, and Tony Springett. Walsall's consolation goal was scored by Courtney Clarke. The club added that they would work with police and provide support to those affected.
