Newsboy has provided his horse racing selections for Tuesday's four meetings, with a nap selection at Ayr and a notable bet at Wolverhampton.
Ayr Nap: The Gay Blade
In the Ayr Racecourse Racing Club Handicap over six furlongs at 4.30, The Gay Blade is tipped to shine. Trained by Iain Jardine, the gelding has been in excellent form since the start of the year, securing victories at Newcastle in February and adding another win at Gosforth Park in March. All three triumphs have come over the same distance as today's race.
For his most recent success, the seven-year-old was ridden by apprentice jockey Cara Tuke, who is again in the saddle this afternoon. The horse narrowly missed out on adding to his tally at Musselburgh six days ago over seven furlongs. With only a 2lb rise in weight, he is expected to be highly competitive.
Wolverhampton Selection: Magna
On the all-weather track at Wolverhampton, Magna (9.00) is fancied to complete a hat-trick for trainer Tony Carroll in the Get The Inside Track With raceday-ready.com Fillies' Handicap over six furlongs. The four-year-old daughter of Magna Grecia has won four of her last seven outings. She previously won over course and distance with jockey Rossa Ryan in March, and the duo followed up 15 days ago at Lingfield over the minimum trip. With a bit in hand that day, she is expected to be in contention once more.
