Newcastle United host Everton at St James' Park in the Premier League, seeking swift revenge after the Toffees knocked them out of the Carabao Cup on Thursday night at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
It is the second meeting between the two sides in a matter of days. The Magpies were wasteful in front of goal and leaky in defence on that occasion, which drew criticism from manager Matthias Jaissle, who has come under pressure at times this season.
Team News and Selection
Jaissle will weigh up whether to make changes to his starting XI and formation. He may have to do without William Osula after the striker limped off with an ankle injury on Thursday, though he has a number of options elsewhere in his squad.
A big performance is needed no matter who plays.
