Gary Neville has issued a stark warning to his former club Manchester United regarding the summer managerial appointment. The pundit identified Carlo Ancelotti, Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel as three candidates he would welcome at Old Trafford, insisting the club must avoid repeating past mistakes.
United announced Michael Carrick's appointment as interim head coach on Tuesday evening, with the ex-midfielder set to oversee his first match against Manchester City on Saturday. Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Neville was unequivocal that Carrick should not be considered for the permanent role beyond this season, even if he achieves remarkable results.
