Gary Neville has identified Sandro Tonali, Elliot Anderson and Ezri Konsa as three 'realistic' signings he would like to see Manchester United make in the summer transfer window. The former United right-back, speaking to Sky Sports, said the club's priority should be two midfielders and a centre-half.
United focused on bolstering their attack last summer, bringing in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko for around £200million, while Senne Lammens arrived in goal. The recruitment has been widely praised, with all four contributing to the club's resurgence under interim boss Michael Carrick.
Neville's 'dream' targets would be Marquinhos, Declan Rice and Harry Kane, but he believes Tonali, Anderson and Konsa are more realistic. He praised Anderson's form for Nottingham Forest and noted that Tonali has been named as Rio Ferdinand's first-choice target for United.
Neville also expressed confidence that United could challenge for the Premier League title this season, citing uncertainty around Manchester City's future due to Pep Guardiola's contract situation and the 115 charges. He said United have an advantage by not being in European competition this term.
