Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have selected drastically different teams of the season while going through their end-of-season awards on Monday Night Football. The pair, who make a tradition of concluding the Premier League campaign by singling out players and managers for praise, disagreed on plenty of categories.
Both pundits agreed on Erling Haaland as the Premier League's top goal scorer, but they differed on other selections. Carragher chose Myles Lewis-Skelly as the best young player, praising his big-game performances, while Neville opted for Dean Huijsen, who secured a move to Real Madrid. For the best newcomer, Neville selected Ryan Gravenberch for his role as Liverpool's No. 6, while Carragher highlighted Nuno Espirito Santo's coaching performance against Liverpool.
The pair also clashed over the goal of the season, with Neville choosing a unique lob from Kaoru Mitoma. Their pre-season predictions were mostly poor, with neither predicting Liverpool's title win or the struggles of Manchester United and Tottenham. However, Neville correctly predicted the relegated sides.
