Mia Khalifa has been named in an 'Argentinophobia' rant by Argentina TV channel Todo Noticias after the World Cup final, where Argentina lost 1-0 to Spain. The match was marred by unsavoury scenes after the full-time whistle, with Argentine players punching and lashing out at Spanish opponents.
Viale's Rant
Jonatan Viale, in an appearance on Todo Noticias, called out Mia Khalifa alongside 10 other high-profile names as the main culprits of 'Argentinophobia'. The list included Egypt manager Hossam Hassan, who accused FIFA of favouring Lionel Messi and Argentina, as well as Piers Morgan and iShowSpeed.
Samuel L. Jackson was also named, having labelled Argentina as "one of the most racist countries in the world" after the World Cup final.
Mia's Anti-Argentina Comments
Throughout the tournament in North America, Mia was constantly rooting against Argentina. Ahead of their semi-final with England, she wrote on an Instagram story: "Who do I think is gonna win? Ide man as long as it's not Argentina."
She also posted another message on X: "Just know I was prepared to root against Argentina no matter what today." Argentina fans accused her of being "anti-Argentina football". After the game, she doubled down, referencing Jude Bellingham's slap on Valentin Barco: "The might buy a Bellingham kit just for that slap lmfaoooooooo."
Bet and Win
In the final, Mia bet $1 million on Spain to win at odds of 1.65. After the victory, she wrote: "Believed and won big. So proud of my home country Spain (not a drop of Spanish blood in me)...LMFAOOOOOOO all sports betting is at the end it the day is calling in and listening to your divine intuition." She also commented on being thankful to "be here hating on Messi in person."
Writing on 1Win, where she is an ambassador, Mia said: "I'm a little witchy so I love the fact that some outlet reported that Lamine Yamal is 19, playing on the 19th, wearing number 19. Numbers don't lie!!!! And I don't mean stats, I mean numerology!! Aside from that I'm rooting against Argentina solely for the love of the game of hating!"
