Lisandro Martinez has been criticised as "unacceptable" after the Manchester United defender conceded a penalty and was sent off for striking Wesley Fofana during the match against Chelsea.
Michael Carrick's side were the better team in the first half and would have led 1-0 at the break had Matheus Cunha not been ruled marginally offside before scoring.
Second-half collapse
In the second half, Martinez was at fault for Chelsea's opening goal, as Morgan Rogers got past him too easily before finishing over Senne Lammens.
Moments later, the Argentine struck Wesley Fofana in the face inside the box, conceding a penalty and receiving a second yellow card.
Immediate criticism
Following his dismissal, TNT Sport commentator Ally McCoist criticised the defender's actions.
