Manchester United host Bournemouth today looking to end a seven-game run without a victory. Michael Carrick is under pressure after a 4-1 defeat by Como in the Champions League league phase, which leaves the Red Devils 20th in the table on their return to Europe's premier competition.
United's Winless Run
The loss followed a 1-1 draw at Leeds United. United have not won a match since the end of August, with the run beginning with a 1-0 defeat by Manchester City in a controversial Manchester derby loss.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, are fresh off a stunning 3-0 win over AC Milan, managed by former United boss and Carrick's predecessor Ruben Amorim, at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth's Recent Form
There was a dubious nature to Milan's red card on the Dorset coast, with Mike Maignan sent off. The Cherries scored two penalties through Justin Kluivert and Marcus Tavernier before Yacine Adli completed the rout with a free-kick against his former club.
Marco Rose's men claimed their first victory of the league campaign under their new boss with a 2-0 triumph over Sunderland, who also went down to ten men after Kevin Danso's 17th-minute red card. Tavernier and Evanilson were on target to hand them a first three-point haul of the season.
