Man Utd to Reject Barcelona's Rashford Loan Extension Offer

Manchester United are set to reject Barcelona's attempt to extend Marcus Rashford's loan deal for another season, insisting the Spanish club must pay the agreed £26 million fee or return the player in June. The England international joined Barcelona on a season-long loan last summer, with an option to buy at the end of the campaign.

Rashford has rediscovered his best form at the Nou Camp, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists, and is keen to stay. However, Barcelona president Joan Laporta wants to spread the cost by extending the loan until summer 2027, a proposal United will turn down.

United are prepared to take Rashford back and sell him to the highest bidder, confident his resurgence in Spain has boosted his market value to around £50 million. The club also hopes his expected participation in the World Cup could further increase his valuation.

The impasse puts the two clubs on a collision course, with United refusing to negotiate unless Barcelona meets their terms. Rashford has regained his England place and is likely to feature in the upcoming World Cup, potentially raising his price tag even higher.
