Man Utd Target £40m Bournemouth Attacker Marcus Tavernier

Manchester United have added Bournemouth winger Marcus Tavernier to their summer transfer shortlist, according to reports. The 26-year-old is valued at over £40m and has attracted interest from Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest as well.

Tavernier has scored six goals and provided four assists this season, including a strike in the 4-4 draw with United at Old Trafford in December. Bournemouth may be open to selling the player, who is under contract until 2029, to raise funds for their own signings.

United are also targeting two central midfielders, a left-back and a centre-back in the summer window. The club will monitor targets until the end of the season before deciding on their next steps, including the appointment of a permanent head coach.

Interim manager Michael Carrick has improved United's form since replacing Ruben Amorim in January, putting them in contention for a top-four finish. Carrick has admitted he is planning ahead in case he is given the job full-time.
