A co-founder of Raise The Colours, a group that places Union and St George's Cross flags on lampposts across the UK, was confronted by student doctors after displaying several Union flags at the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and shouting "stop the boats".
Ryan Bridge, a co-founder of Raise The Colours, appeared alongside multiple Union flags at the summit of Wales' highest peak in footage shared by the group. He then became involved in a dispute with fellow walkers, including some trainee NHS doctors.
Dispute at the summit
One walker asked what his placard stated, and he responded: "Stop the boats and the illegal invasion of our country." When challenged about his presence in North Wales, he explained it was because he "did not want the boats coming here illegally".
One walker remarked: "Everyone is coming up here, having a nice day.... Why does everyone else have to deal with that?" Mr Bridge insisted he was protesting the "illegal invasion of our country".
Medical students respond
When Mr Bridge, who is listed as a director of a storage and warehousing firm, asked the young people where they worked, they told him they were medical students set to qualify this year.
One woman stated: "We are doctors qualifying this year, eight of us are qualifying this year, we will be working for this NHS system." She later added: "Are you caring for the people of this country?"
He responded that he ran several companies and had a multicultural workforce, adding: "All my staff is multicultural. This isn't about race, religion, colour, creed. This is about breaking into our country illegally."
