Manchester United have submitted their 23-man squad list to the Premier League for the 2026/27 season. The list was finalised after the transfer window closed on Tuesday, with a total of 23 players named.
Several high-profile names are absent from the list, but this is because players born on or after 1 January 2005 do not need to be included. As a result, Kobbie Mainoo and Leny Yoro are not on the list but remain eligible to play in the Premier League.
Homegrown player rules
Premier League rules stipulate that no more than 17 players who do not meet the homegrown criteria can be named on the list. A homegrown player is defined as someone registered with any club affiliated to the FA or the FAW for three entire seasons, or 36 months, before his 21st birthday, or the end of the season during which he turns 21.
Eight players in the 23-man squad list classify as homegrown, including Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount and Amad.
