Manchester United have identified Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye as a potential summer signing as part of a new transfer strategy focused on Premier League-proven talent. Manager Michael Carrick is seeking to strengthen his attacking options after guiding the club into Champions League contention since taking over in January.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Ndiaye is high on United's shortlist as a contingency option should they fail to secure Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers. The Red Devils are among several clubs interested in Rogers, but are already planning alternatives, with Ndiaye emerging as a key secondary target.
Everton are not believed to be willing to sell the Senegal international, whose contract runs until 2029. However, United's new approach—inspired by the success of signings like Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo—prioritises players with Premier League experience, making Ndiaye an attractive prospect.
Ndiaye has been a standout performer under Everton manager David Moyes, scoring 15 goals in two seasons since joining from Marseille for £15 million. Moyes has previously described the 25-year-old as 'the last person I would consider selling,' highlighting his importance to the Toffees.
United are also closing in on a £35 million deal for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, as they look to build a squad capable of handling a return to European competition next season.
