Man Utd player ratings vs Tottenham with four 5/10s as United bottle win

Manchester United endured a stoppage-time collapse against 10-man Tottenham, with four players rated 5/10, as their winless run extended to four matches. Despite Leny Yoro impressing, United were unable to hold on to their lead and dropped further points at Old Trafford.

United bottle lead against Spurs

The Red Devils looked set to end a three-match winless streak in the Premier League thanks to Bryan Mbeumo's 73rd-minute finish. But although Rodrigo Bentancur had been sent off for headbutting Luke Shaw late on, Dominic Solanke scored a 92nd-minute equaliser for Spurs.

Michael Carrick's side were booed off at half-time after a dire first-half display in which they were dominated and managed only one shot to Spurs' seven. The full-time reaction inside Old Trafford was not much kinder after another frustrating result.

Individual performances rated

Senne Lammens - 6: Great save to deny Dominic Solanke early on, though it was the Belgian who gave the ball away in the first place with a poor pass. Thought he'd kept a clean sheet until the Spurs striker found the bottom corner.

Leny Yoro - 8: Deployed out of position at right-back. Great tackle on Jan Paul van Hecke 13 minutes in and one of few United players to do well first half. Very unfortunate to be taken off on the hour when he was United's best player.

Harry Maguire - 5: Great header to clear the danger under his crossbar after a threatening Van Hecke header across the six-yard box but should have been the one to come off instead of Yoro.

Lisandro Martinez - 5: Poor for much of the game and lucky that Solanke fluffed a shot after allowing the striker to get goalside of him. Bullied by Solanke for the Spurs equaliser. Booked.

Luke Shaw - 6: Good positioning to stop Spurs scoring early into the second half, effectively clearing off the line. A heated exchange with Rodrigo Bentancur, who headbutted Shaw, got the Spurs midfielder sent off. Booked.

Youri Tielemans - 6: Left big spaces for Tottenham to attack down United's right-hand side at times. Thought he'd made it 1-0 to United but the ball had gone out of play moments earlier. A bucketload of defensive contributions though.

Kobbie Mainoo - 6: Typically impressive on the ball. Great block to stop Savio potentially scoring in the second half.

Amad Diallo - 5: First appearance of the season after injury and forced a save on the counter from Antonin Kinsky with United's only first-half shot. Otherwise too quiet and not good enough on the dribble.

Bruno Fernandes - 5: One bad pass ruined a first-half United counter-attack and summed his performance up. The Portuguese playmaker looked short of sharpness despite a couple of threatening moments. Booked.

Bryan Mbeumo - 7: A terrific touch, turn and finish to put United 1-0 up. His only moment of quality all game really but made it count. Forced another late save from Kinsky.

Matheus Cunha - 6: Good movement and pass into Mbeumo in the build-up for the United goal. Denied a late goal by a great Van Hecke block but also had some underwhelming moments with poor ball control.

Substitutes assessed

Diogo Dalot (Yoro 59') - 6: Couldn't help see out victory despite some important contributions.

Carlos Baleba (Tielemans 59') - 6: Made his debut. Superb pass released Mbeumo late on as the Cameroonian showed United fans what is to come from him.

Joshua Zirkzee (Amad 59') - 6: Looked bright when he came on but poor end product.

Marcus Rashford (Cunha 90+5) - N/A: A late introduction.

Ayden Heaven (Shaw 90+5) - N/A: See above.
