Man Utd Eye £60m Move for 'Better Than Haaland' Striker Sesko

Manchester United are reportedly considering a £60 million move for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who has been touted by teammates as being better than Erling Haaland. The 22-year-old Slovenian previously drew comparisons to Haaland during his time at Red Bull Salzburg, where he filled the void left by the Norwegian star.

Sesko, who scored 21 goals in all competitions last season, has attracted interest from Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea, but those clubs have since moved on to other targets. United now have a clear path to the striker, though financial constraints and the lack of Champions League football could complicate negotiations.

The Red Devils have already spent £133 million on attacking reinforcements this summer, signing Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. With concerns over the club's financial situation, any further spending must be approached cautiously. Sesko is under contract with Leipzig until 2029, giving the German club little incentive to sell quickly.

United will also need to convince Sesko, who turned down a move to Old Trafford in 2023 citing concerns over the club's style of play. However, with a new manager and a revamped attack, the club hopes the project now appeals to the striker. If a deal can be struck, Sesko could become the focal point of a new era at United.
