Niko Kovac has emerged as a possible contender for the Manchester United manager position, according to reports. The former Bayern Munich and Croatia boss is among the candidates being considered by the club's new hierarchy.
Ineos, who now oversee football operations at Old Trafford, are reportedly left with four options as they search for a permanent replacement for Erik ten Hag. Kovac is understood to be one of the names on their shortlist.
The 52-year-old is currently without a job after leaving his role at Wolfsburg earlier this year. He has previous experience in the Bundesliga and has also managed at international level with Croatia.
It remains to be seen whether United will make a formal approach for Kovac as they weigh up their managerial options ahead of next season.
