Rashford's return and uncertain future
Rashford is set to reintegrate with the United squad after an 18-month hiatus, having not played competitively since December 2024. Barcelona opted against triggering the buyout clause to make his loan move permanent, instead signing Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United. No club has yet matched United's valuation, and manager Michael Carrick is reportedly open to the idea of Rashford staying ahead of his first full season in permanent charge.
Tottenham leads the race
TalkSPORT's Alex Crook has tipped Tottenham as a likely destination, with manager Roberto De Zerbi understood to be keen on the player. Crook dismissed prospects of a move to Arsenal, who face a difficult task in prising Vinicius Jr away from Real Madrid. Spurs have already invested heavily this window, signing Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, but De Zerbi remains in the market for attacking reinforcements as they aim to secure European football after a battle against relegation last season.

Rashford is among United's top earners, and while club chiefs are keen to sanction a departure, the player is reportedly reluctant to accept reduced terms.
