Manchester City welcome AEK Athens to the Etihad Stadium for their third match in the Champions League league phase, with Erling Haaland among several players doubtful due to injury.
Enzo Maresca's side have been perfect in the Premier League, but last week's 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain has added pressure to win tonight. City are heavy favourites, yet they face a number of injury concerns.
Injury Concerns Mount for City
Antoine Semenyo is definitely out after suffering a leg injury at the weekend. Erling Haaland is a doubt, along with Matheus Nunes, Nico O'Reilly and Mateo Kovacic. Maresca confirmed the quartet were 'more or less okay' in his pre-match press conference, but all four missed the open training session on Monday.
The five players picked up problems during the 3-2 Premier League win over Ipswich Town, which secured City's seventh consecutive league victory. They were left needing assessment ahead of this week's matches.
AEK Athens' Champions League Form
AEK Athens boast a nearly identical start to City in the Champions League. They beat LASK on the opening matchday but lost to Shakhtar Donetsk last week.
Maresca claimed Haaland was okay in his pre-match press conference, but the forward did not feature in open training. Nunes, O'Reilly and Kovacic also missed that session, so plenty of changes may be expected to the City side tonight.
