Harry Maguire has issued a direct call to action for Manchester United's hierarchy, demanding significant investment in the upcoming summer transfer window, which he describes as "really, really big" for the club's ambitions.
New Contract and Renewed Optimism
The 33-year-old defender has recently committed his future to Manchester United by signing a new one-year contract extension. This move comes amid a notable resurgence in his form and the team's performance since Michael Carrick took over as interim manager in January.
Under Carrick's guidance, United have secured an impressive 23 points from a possible 30 in the Premier League, propelling them to third place in the standings. This strong run has put the club on track to qualify for next season's Champions League, a crucial factor in attracting top talent.

But this summer's going to be big, really, really big. We need more players, we need better quality, we need players to come into the starting eleven."

"Looking at the Premier League at the moment, I think over the last few years you've obviously had Manchester City, who were really tough to catch," Maguire explained. "I think next season you look at it and I think we've got to be in the bracket where if we get the recruitment right and everything's positive from now to the end of the season and we keep going on the curve there's no ceiling to where we can reach. We've got to be in the conversation to go and win the big trophies."
