The 33-year-old, born Lucia Roberta Tough Bronze, was given her middle name 'Tough' from her mother's maiden name, fitting her determined performances that included scoring against Sweden and playing 105 minutes in the final.
Bronze, one of the world's top female footballers with over 120 international caps and five Champions League titles, transferred to Chelsea in 2024 after a spell at Barcelona. Away from football, she was rumoured to have been in a relationship with England vice-captain Keira Walsh, 28. The pair never publicly confirmed their romance but shared cosy holiday photos on social media, including trips to Lyon and Los Angeles. Although the relationship appeared to fizzle out, they remain amicable as part of the Lioness squad.
Bronze is now rumoured to be romantically linked with Spanish footballer Ona Batlle, 26.
