Liverpool's Alisson Ruled Out With Hamstring Injury

Liverpool have been dealt a significant injury blow as scans confirm goalkeeper Alisson will be sidelined for six weeks with a hamstring injury. The Brazilian was substituted in the 79th minute of Saturday's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace after sustaining the problem.

The injury is Alisson's second hamstring issue of the season, having previously missed matches against Bournemouth and West Ham. He is expected to be unavailable until after the November international break, missing crucial Premier League fixtures against Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton, and Aston Villa, as well as Champions League matches against RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen.

In Alisson's absence, Caoimhin Kelleher is set to step in as first-choice goalkeeper, having impressed previously. Third-choice keeper Vitezslav Jaros, who replaced Alisson at Selhurst Park due to Kelleher's illness, is also highly rated at the club. Summer signing Giorgi Mamardashvili will not join until next year.
