Trey Nyoni starts for Liverpool in their Premier League clash with Arsenal, while Dominik Szoboszlai is back in the matchday squad.
Szoboszlai, Liverpool's reigning player of the season, has been troubled by a persistent hamstring injury since the international break. He lasted just 32 minutes on his return to action at Brentford earlier this month and has sat out five of the last six matches in total.
Szoboszlai and Munoz return
Summer signing Victor Munoz scored in that game but has not played since due to a right knee problem sustained in the second half. Both players were spotted arriving at Liverpool's team hotel on Sunday morning and each posted matchday graphics to their respective Instagram Stories, raising hopes over their involvement against Arsenal. They are on the bench.
Andoni Iraola made sweeping changes for Liverpool's Carabao Cup win over Chelsea in midweek, but Alisson Becker, Jeremy Jacquet, Milos Kerkez, Alexis Mac Allister, Florian Wirtz, Bradley Barcola and Alexander Isak all return to the starting lineup against Arsenal.
Defensive reshuffle
Barcelona loanee Ronald Araujo, who played in central defence on Wednesday night, is set to resume his regular role at right-back in the absence of the injured Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley. That change sees captain Virgil van Dijk, whose minutes were managed in midweek, resume his partnership with Jacquet at the heart of Liverpool's defence.
Ryan Gravenberch played the full 90 minutes against Chelsea but makes way for Nyoni to make his first-ever Premier League start, partnering Mac Allister in midfield. Wirtz emerged as an injury scare after suffering an ankle issue in the win over Brighton but recovered in time to feature against Chelsea and prove his fitness for the Arsenal game.
