Liverpool ended a four-match losing run with a resounding 5-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League. The Reds fell behind early but responded with four goals before half-time to seize control of the match.
Frankfurt took the lead in the 26th minute through Rasmus Kristensen. Liverpool levelled just before the half-hour mark when Hugo Ekitike scored, before Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate added further goals to put the visitors 3-1 up at the interval.
Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai struck after the break to complete the rout. However, the win was marred by injuries to Alexander Isak and Jeremie Frimpong, with Frimpong set to miss several weeks due to a hamstring problem.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot fielded an experimental lineup, dropping Mohamed Salah initially. Salah came off the bench late in the game but failed to add to the scoreline. The result moves Liverpool up the Champions League standings, while Frankfurt suffered their third 5-1 scoreline in the competition this season.
