Liverpool agree £40m deal for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Bournemouth to sign left-back Milos Kerkez for £40 million. The 21-year-old Hungary international is scheduled to undergo a medical next week before committing to a five-year contract with the Premier League champions.

Kerkez has impressed since joining Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in July 2023, helping the club secure a ninth-place finish last season. His arrival at Anfield adds to Liverpool's left-back options, which already include Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas. Robertson has attracted interest from Atlético Madrid, while Tsimikas may depart after five seasons primarily as a backup.

Bournemouth have already lined up a replacement for Kerkez, signing Adrien Truffert from Rennes. The Frenchman will compete with January arrival Julio Soler for a starting role under manager Andoni Iraola next season.

Liverpool remain active in the transfer market. They have already completed a £29.5 million deal for Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong and are close to signing Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz for £100 million, with the German undergoing a medical on Friday.

Further dealings between Liverpool and Leverkusen are possible, with talks ongoing over a move for centre-back Jarell Quansah. The 22-year-old, currently at the European Under-21 Championship with England, is valued at over £30 million. Quansah broke into the first team under Jürgen Klopp but struggled for minutes under Arne Slot last season. Liverpool may replace him with Crystal Palace captain Marc Guéhi, who has entered the final year of his contract and was the subject of a rejected £70 million bid from Tottenham in January.
