Liverpool transfer target Marc Guehi has insisted he is not thinking about his future, stating 'it doesn't matter' amid ongoing speculation. The Crystal Palace defender has been linked with moves to European giants including Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Guehi came close to joining Liverpool on deadline day in the summer, but the deal fell through after Palace failed to secure a replacement. His contract at Selhurst Park expires at the end of the season, and he is unlikely to sign new terms, making him available as a free agent.
The Reds remain interested, but reports suggest they could face competition from Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Real Madrid. Palace are reportedly bracing for Guehi's exit in January or next summer.
Speaking on international duty with England, Guehi said: 'For me, it doesn't matter. As long as I'm playing well for Palace, there is an opportunity for me to be here. Whether it's sorted or not, it doesn't matter for me.'
Liverpool are expected to monitor Guehi's performances during the international break. Manager Arne Slot may be concerned about his defensive options, with summer recruit Giovanni Leoni out with a severe knee injury and Ibrahima Konate's fitness in doubt after limping off against Chelsea.
