Barcola Contract Stance
French winger Bradley Barcola has reportedly informed Paris Saint-Germain he will not sign a new contract, but he will not push for an exit this summer. The 23-year-old's stance has intensified pressure on PSG to consider a sale to avoid losing him for less later, with his price tag estimated at £140 million.
According to Le Parisien, Barcola "will not force a move" from the club he joined three years ago. He has already rejected an approach from Chelsea earlier in the summer, suggesting he has a preferred destination in mind. Liverpool fans hope that destination is Anfield, as the club seeks a successor to Mohamed Salah, who left in June.
Barcola has scored 39 goals and provided 25 assists in 152 appearances for PSG, the reigning back-to-back European champions.
Ndukwe Ineligible for Season
Liverpool's defensive options have taken another hit following the news that summer signing Ifeanyi Ndukwe will not be eligible to feature this season. The 18-year-old centre-back completed his £2.6 million move from Austria Wien in July, but has not secured a UK work permit.
