Leicester v Arsenal: Women's Super League Clash Preview

Arsenal travel to Leicester in the Women's Super League on Sunday 29th September, with Jonas Eidevall's side seeking their first win of the season. The Gunners drew 2-2 with title rivals Manchester City last week, a result that saw them salvage a point thanks to Beth Mead's 81st-minute equaliser.

Frida Maanum had given Arsenal an early lead, but former Gunner Vivianne Miedema and Jess Park turned the match in City's favour before Mead struck. Arsenal finished third last season behind Chelsea and Manchester City, and Eidevall will be aiming to close the gap on their rivals in pursuit of a first WSL title since 2019.

Leicester, who finished tenth last season, began their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Liverpool. Jutta Rantala scored the equaliser for the Foxes, who will hope to improve on their lowly finish from the previous campaign.
