Mohammed Kudus scored his first goal for Tottenham as Thomas Frank's side displayed newfound resilience to secure a 2-1 victory at Leeds. Mathys Tel had opened the scoring before Noah Okafor equalised for the hosts, but Kudus's second-half strike proved decisive.
Tottenham's win underlined the transformation under Frank, who has instilled a steeliness absent last season when the club endured its worst Premier League campaign. Despite filthy conditions and a hostile crowd, Spurs held firm to maintain their upward trajectory.
Leeds, unbeaten in 46 of their previous 50 league games at Elland Road under Daniel Farke, started brightly. Anton Stach's free-kick found Joe Rodon, whose header hit the post. But Tottenham gradually took control, with Tel's deflected shot beating Karl Darlow in the 23rd minute.
The lead lasted only 11 minutes when Guglielmo Vicario parried Brenden Aaronson's strike into the path of Okafor, who tapped home. Spurs responded well and hit the bar through Tel before half-time. After the break, Dominic Calvert-Lewin wasted a chance, and Kudus punished Leeds by robbing Gabriel Gudmundsson and scoring via another deflection off Pascal Struijk.
Leeds pushed for a leveller in stoppage time, but Vicario produced a superb save to deny Joël Piroe, and Struijk headed wide. The victory was Tottenham's third from four unbeaten away league games this term.
