Trent Alexander-Arnold was seen taunting Jeremy Doku after Real Madrid eliminated Manchester City from the Champions League on Tuesday. The England right-back appeared to mimic the Belgian's dribbling style during post-match celebrations at the Etihad Stadium.
Real Madrid secured a 2-1 victory on the night, progressing 5-1 on aggregate. Vinicius Jr scored twice, while City's Bernardo Silva was sent off after 20 minutes. Alexander-Arnold, who played 83 minutes, was dribbled past only once by Doku.
The incident drew mixed reactions online. Some fans pointed out that Doku had previously made Alexander-Arnold the most-dribbled player in a single Premier League match in 2023, breaking a 10-year record. One comment read: "The audacity to clown someone who made you the most dribbled player in Premier League history in one game is actually crazy."
City's season has unravelled quickly. Saturday's 1-1 draw at West Ham left them nine points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal, and their European exit leaves the League Cup final and FA Cup as their only realistic trophy hopes.
