Klopp's Endorsement Fuels Arsenal's Pursuit of PSG Star Kvaratskhelia

Arsenal's reported interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has received a significant boost from an unexpected source: former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. Klopp previously lavished praise on the Georgian international after Liverpool faced Napoli in November 2022, describing him as a player with "speed, cheekiness, and the ability to go inside or outside."

Kvaratskhelia, 25, joined PSG from Napoli for £59.5 million last January, having helped the Italian side secure the Serie A title. His move to Paris proved timely as he played a key role in PSG clinching their first Champions League trophy. In 69 appearances for the French club, he has notched 20 goals and 15 assists.

According to The Independent, Arsenal are considering a high-profile swoop for the winger, who has emerged as a prime target for Mikel Arteta. The player's representatives are reportedly open to a move, but any fee would likely exceed the £59.5m PSG paid for him. The Gunners are said to be planning a forward line revamp and may offload a senior player to finance the deal.

Kvaratskhelia has expressed contentment with life in Paris, telling Le Parisien: "For me, Paris is truly extraordinary. You have everything here, and above all, this is the city of love." He has scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in 37 appearances this season, adding to his six major titles with PSG. Despite Arsenal's interest, the Georgia captain seems to be thriving in the French capital.
