Liverpool have been encouraged to bring Harry Wilson back to the club on a free transfer, four years after he was sold to Fulham by Jurgen Klopp. The Wales international, who came through the Reds' academy, is set to become a free agent at the end of the month after an impressive 2025-26 campaign with Fulham.
Wilson, 29, contributed 10 goals and seven assists in 37 Premier League matches last season. Despite his characteristics differing from Mohamed Salah's, former Liverpool midfielder Gary McAllister believes Wilson would be a valuable addition to the squad as the club searches for a right-sided forward to replace the departing Egyptian.
“He's a really interesting one,” McAllister said. “He's been coached in the Liverpool way, and he always caught the eye when you were around Anfield. With his passing range, his ability to get a goal, and his work rate, he's becoming a very complete player.”
McAllister added: “Without a shadow of a doubt, Harry is a top-end Premier League player now. Liverpool should be one of the clubs interested in him.”
However, there is currently no indication that Liverpool are considering a return for Wilson, with the winger strongly linked to Tottenham and Aston Villa. Spurs are looking to reshape their squad after a poor campaign and have already submitted a bid for Brighton's Jan Paul Van Hecke, while also agreeing deals for Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi.
