Jurgen Klopp Rules Out Chelsea Job as Liam Rosenior is Sacked
Klopp Rejects Chelsea Role After Rosenior Sacking

Jurgen Klopp has firmly restated his position on never managing another Premier League club, a declaration that has resurfaced as Chelsea sack Liam Rosenior following a dismal run of form. The Blues are now searching for a new permanent manager after terminating Rosenior's contract on Wednesday.

Chelsea's Managerial Turmoil Deepens

Liam Rosenior's departure comes after Chelsea suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday, marking their fifth consecutive Premier League loss without scoring a single goal. The club's sporting hierarchy held urgent discussions on Wednesday to assess Rosenior's situation, ultimately deciding to accelerate his exit.

The 41-year-old manager had been appointed fewer than four months ago on a six-year contract, with his performance review originally scheduled for the end of next season. However, the team's alarming slide has forced Chelsea's hand, prompting immediate action.

Bookmakers' Favourites Emerge

With Rosenior gone, speculation has turned to potential successors. Cesc Fabregas, Filipe Luis, Andoni Iraola, and Diego Simeone currently lead the betting markets as frontrunners for the Stamford Bridge hot seat. Notably absent from serious consideration is Jurgen Klopp, whose previous statements make his candidacy highly improbable.

Klopp's Unwavering Stance

The former Liverpool manager, who left Anfield in 2024, has been unequivocal about his future in English football. After announcing his departure, Klopp emphasised: "What I know definitely, I will never, ever manage a different club in England than Liverpool, 100 per cent."

He elaborated further, stating: "That's not possible. My love for this club, my respect for the people is too big. I couldn't. I couldn't for a second think about it. There's no chance. This is part of my life, we are part of the family, we feel home here."

Life Beyond Management

Klopp has made it clear that he does not miss the intense daily pressures of football management. He currently holds a position within the Red Bull Group and expressed contentment with his current role. "I don't miss being in the dressing room, I coached something like 1,080 games so I was in a dressing room often," he added. "I don't want to die in a dressing room because it's nice, it smells."

While not completely ruling out a future return to coaching, Klopp stressed that any such move would require his full commitment. "Now I'm in a project I really love, I like doing what I'm doing right now. In my mind, only if I'm focused 100 percent, I can do it really good," he explained.

Chelsea's search for stability continues as they navigate this latest managerial upheaval, with Klopp's definitive stance removing one potential candidate from consideration entirely.
