Royal Botanic Kew Gardens has been named the best UK garden to visit this spring, according to new research by photo printing company CEWE. The London attraction, a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts over 50,000 plants and iconic Victorian glasshouses, earning an impressive 1,835 spring-related reviews on Google.
The garden spans 320 acres, including 37 acres of woodland, and holds a 4.7-star rating from nearly 53,000 reviews. Key attractions include the Garden of Peace and the Bamboo Garden, while families can enjoy a life-size interactive badger set and a dedicated children's garden with slides and soft play areas.
Chatsworth House in Bakewell, Derbyshire, secured second place with 694 spring-themed reviews. The 16th-century estate features 105 acres of gardens, including the Rose Garden and Cottage Garden, as well as water features like The Emperor Fountain. It has appeared in TV shows such as Peaky Blinders and Pride & Prejudice.
The Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh took third place with 656 spring-related reviews. Established in the 17th century, it is one of Britain's oldest botanical gardens, housing 13,500 plant species from 157 countries across 70 acres. Highlights include the Rock Garden and Woodland Garden.
Bodnant Garden in Wales and RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey jointly occupy fourth place, each with 622 reviews. Bodnant, set in Conwy, offers 80 acres of gardens with mountain views, while Wisley in Woking spans 240 acres with over 25,000 plant species. Stourhead in Wiltshire rounds out the top five with 459 reviews, covering 2,650 acres of countryside and woodland.
