Martin Keown believes Arsenal have the edge over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, citing a deeper squad and key player returns. The Gunners face the defending champions on Saturday, aiming for a historic double after winning the Premier League.
PSG eliminated Arsenal in last season's semi-finals before thrashing Inter Milan 5-0 in the final. They have since overcome Chelsea, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich in this year's knockout stages. Arsenal lost both legs of that semi-final, but Keown insists things will be different now.
Speaking on TNT Sports, Keown highlighted the return of Gabriel Magalhaes alongside William Saliba, calling them Europe's best defensive partnership. He also noted the midfield additions of Lewis-Skelly and Martin Zubimendi, and the availability of Kai Havertz or Viktor Gyokeres up front, options absent last season.
Keown added that Arsenal's Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City served as a valuable learning experience for the high-pressure environment of a final. He concluded that PSG remain the ultimate test, but Arsenal are much stronger this year.
