Joey Essex takes on Dapper Laughs in the Misfits Boxing main event tonight, with ring walks expected at around 9.20pm. The reality TV star faces the comedian, who stepped in as a late replacement, in what will be both men's second fight under the Misfits promotion.
Fight time and how to watch
The first bout of the eight-fight card starts at approximately 6.30pm, with the main event following afterwards. All fight times are subject to change and depend on how long the undercard takes to complete.
The event is available live and exclusively on DAZN, included free for existing subscribers. New subscribers can join via a limited-time deal from £9.99 on the broadcaster's monthly-rolling plan.
Background and undercard
Essex enters as the betting favourite after securing a decision win against Numeiro last year. Dapper Laughs accepted the matchup on short notice after Essex faced delays finding an opponent, and previously recorded a stoppage victory against Simple Simon three years ago.
The undercard features Swarmz against Ambush, following an altercation last month, and Big Stacks making his third ring appearance this year against former West Ham defender James Collins.
Quotes from the fighters
Essex said: "We had some opponents, some good opponents to be fair and they all pulled out. So, you know, we're here today and Dapper stepped in so I fully respect that. He's only had three weeks to step up to this and I've got to say it takes a big man to step in to step in the ring and have a fight like this, especially on three weeks' notice. So, all respect."
Dapper Laughs said: "I took it on three weeks notice to promote my film that I've got coming out. It's a big platform. It's an important film about addiction and men taking their own lives when they're struggling. I couldn't say no. I'm in the midst of releasing this independently."
