Steve Jones has identified three each-way selections for Saturday's ITV racing, headlined by Irish raider Chicago Pope in the Churchill Tyres Supporting Macmillan Sprint at York (3.35). The three-year-old, trained by Johnny Murtagh, impressed on his handicap debut at Naas and looks well suited to the sharp 6f trip. Jones recommends a 1pt each-way bet at 14-1, with several bookmakers paying six places.
Earlier on the York card, Daydreama (2.25) is considered overpriced at 28-1. Tim Easterby's runner has a good course record, including a second behind Startled at the Dante Festival despite a wide draw. With plenty of early pace drawn high, the hold-up style of Daydreama could be favoured. Jones suggests 1pt each-way, with six places available from some firms.
In the Queen Mother's Cup (1.50), Prince Of The Seas is tipped at 16-1. The David O'Meara-trained gelding won over 1m4f at Goodwood last summer and showed promise at Ripon recently. With experienced amateur Megan Jordan aboard, he is expected to stay the trip well. Jones advises 1pt each-way.
