Harry Kane Hailed as Bayern's Best Ever Signing

Harry Kane’s sensational season reached new heights over the weekend as his hat-trick propelled Bayern Munich to victory in the German Cup final against Stuttgart. Club chiefs have since lavished praise on the England captain, with honorary president Uli Hoeness declaring him the club’s ‘best ever transfer’ and categorically ruling out any possibility of a sale.

The former Tottenham Hotspur forward has maintained a lethal strike rate since his £82 million move from North London, amassing an extraordinary 146 goals in just 147 appearances for Bayern. His performances have attracted interest from Barcelona, who are reportedly seeking a replacement for the departing Robert Lewandowski. However, Hoeness is adamant that Kane will remain at the Allianz Arena.

Speaking to Das Erste, Hoeness stated: “Harry Kane is the best transfer we’ve ever made. FC Bayern is a buying club, not a selling club.” When asked about his confidence in Kane’s commitment, he added: “Yes, and Barcelona have no money anyway.”

Kane himself was asked about his future but remained composed. “It’s not the time to talk about that now, but there’s no panic,” he said. “We wanted to hold conversations until the end of the season and we’ve got a World Cup still to play. But everyone knows how much I enjoy it here. That situation is calm.”

With just over a year remaining on his contract, Bayern have been keen to tie him down to a new deal. Kane had earlier hinted at a possible extension: “In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that. I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise, I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation. Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes, what we achieve together. We are in a fantastic moment, and I am not thinking about anything else.”

Regarding a potential return to the Premier League, Kane admitted his stance has softened. “If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back. Now I have been there a couple of years, I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn’t say I would never go back.”

Kane will now aim to carry his club form onto the international stage, having been named in the England squad for the upcoming World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
